To coincide with the June 17th CD/vinyl release of A Moon Shaped Pool, Radiohead will host a day-long event at record stores around the world.

Dubbed “Live From a Moon Shaped Pool,” the event will feature “an exclusive day long audio stream from the band, competitions, instructional artworks, and more.”

Update — Tuesday, June 14th at 3:30 p.m. CT: Resident, a UK-based record shop involved in the event, has offered more details on what to expect, as Fact notes. There will be “an exclusive audio broadcast of material specially curated by the band as well as a very special 2-hour live set of performances from their latest tour, featuring songs from the new album & favourites from the Radiohead catalogue.” Additionally, original artwork from longtime collaborator Stanley Donwood will be made available to fans.

A special raffle will also take place at each participating location. One first prize winner will nab some of the figurines from the band’s “Burn the Witch” claymation video; two second prize winners will receive screen prints of Donwood’s A Moon Shaped Pool artwork; and three third prize winners will take home a 35mm celluloid print of the “Daydreaming” visual. If you’ll recall, Radiohead sent 35mm prints of the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed clip to select movie theaters upon its initial release.

You can find a list of participating record stores here.

June 17th also marks Radiohead’s return to the live stage as the band is due to headline Iceland’s Secret Solstice Festival. It’s also the day A Moon Shaped Pool will finally be available to stream on Spotify.
