When producer Kieran Hebden, aka Four Tet, reached one million followers on SoundCloud a few weeks back, he celebrated by releasing a brand new song. His latest surprise, however, looks to the past. On Monday evening, Four Tet released a career-spanning compilation entitled Randoms, which lives up to the name by featuring nine tracks that got lost in the creative shuffle over the years. The oldest track, “Field”, dates back to 1996 and is in fact the first Four Tet track ever released. The most recent track is “Gillie Amma I Love You,” made for a charity project called BOATS in 2013.
