Matt Damon is going everywhere lately. Last year, he traveled to Mars in Ridley Scott’s The Martian, this weekend he’s building up SkyMiles in Paul Greengrass’ Jason Bourne, and soon he’ll be sent to the 15th century in Zhang Yimou’s The Great Wall.
One of the more obvious American-Chinese blockbusters as of late, the film follows Damon and a number of British Soldiers, who stumble across The Great Wall of China. Here’s the twist: It wasn’t built to keep out the Mongolians.

Joining Damon for this monster movie are Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe, Andy Lau, Jing Tian, Zhang Hanyu, Eddie Peng, Lu Han, Lin Gengxin, Zheng Kai, Chen Xuedong, Huang Xuan, and Wang Junkai.
