It’s been two years since Arcade Fire last toured as a full band, but the Canadian indie rockers officially returned to world dominance with an intimate set at Barcelona’s Razzmatazz tonight. Billed as a “warm up” for the band’s upcoming summer festival dates (which include stops at Bilbao BBK Live, Portugal’s NOS Alive Festival, and NYC’s Panorama Music Festival), the show gave Win Butler and Co. the chance to dust off “No Cars Go”, “Haïti”, and “My Body Is a Cage”, among other songs.
The group didn’t debut any new music, as Butler and Régine Chassagne did during an impromptu show in Paris last month, but Win’s brother Will Butler recently suggested that the follow-up to Reflektor could be here as early as next spring. In the meantime, check out the full 19-song setlist from Razzmatazz (via Setlist.fm) along with some clips of the performance (via YouTube). Update: At the 4:35 mark of “Rebellion (Lies)”, Will Butler uses a fan’s shoe to play drums. Update: Watch video of the gig in full below.
