Car Seat Headrest, aka Will Toledo, aka the indie rock hero we’ve been waiting for, has been touring steadily since releasing his fantastic album, Teens of Denial, back in May. But Toledo and his newly formed band had yet to make their live TV debut until just last night, when they ripped through Teens of Denial album opener “Fill in the Blank” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and likely won over thousands of new fans in the process (Colbert included). Toledo may seem like another unassuming kid from Leesburg, Virginia, but there’s a bona fide rock star hiding behind those glasses, and he let the world see it during last night’s performance.
