For the vast majority of her life, Frances Bean Cobain — the daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love — has understandably shied away from anything involving music. Up until now, the lone exception was a guest spot on Amanda Palmer’s 2010 collaborative album Evelyn Evelyn. Today, however, Frances, now 23 years old, makes her solo debut with a brief cover of Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle”. And I mean brief — the recording posted to Instagram clocks in at just four seconds. But it’s a fascinating listen nonetheless.
Love re-posted the recording to her own Instagram, writing, “I know your father is very proud of this as am I baby, I love you to the moon and back ❤️❤️ #proudmommy.”
