Father John Misty has been known to go full troll mode when the occasion calls for it, and his latest stunt might be his silliest yet. He revealed some new merch today, and it’s basically a straight-faced copy of Cali Thornhill DeWitt’s design for Kanye West’s Life Of Pablo merch. The tees and sweatshirts proudly read “Life Of Padre”, while the long-sleeves add a little more Spanish flair with “Juan” and “Misty” printed on opposite sleeves. There’s even a hat that simply reads “Padre”, just in case you want to complete the ensemble.
But it gets even better, because FJM also revealed some ridiculous “Misty” crystal earrings, probably crafted from the same rose quartz he fessed up to stealing from the Echo Park Moon Juice in a rambling post on Instagram last month. We’d say “This is why you can’t have nice things, J. Tillman,” but those earrings actually look pretty nice. You can grab a pair (and a t-shirt) here, but just be warned that he might eventually try to steal them back.
