Last August, UK garage rockers The Wytches delivered their four-track EP Thunder Lizard’s Reprieve. Now, they are gearing up for the release of their second full-length, titled All Your Happy Life. It will arrive September 30th from Heavenly Recordings.

Save for the EP, this upcoming record follows 2014’s debut LP in Annabel Dream ReaderThough as the press release states, “There’s no difficult second album syndrome here. This black-hearted set is a combination of heavy comedown psychedelia and bilious and brilliant baroque ‘n’ roll. It’s portentous and scathing. Scabrous and bold. Utterly nihilistic.” Aside from drawing upon their own lives for inspiration, the trio also turned to Tolstoy, Elliot Smith, and underground metal bands as well.

The unique intersection between Smith and metal is best heard on lead single “C-Side,” which the band shared today. The track was recorded by Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds) in Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, and it clanks and clamors on with heavy reverb while vocalist Kristian Bell monotonously speaks of “endless love.”
