Bob Dylan spent much of 1966 on the road, a stint that included back-to-back appearances at London’s Royal Albert Hall along with other concerts throughout the US and Europe. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of Dylan’s most productive years, a massive 36-disc box set called The 1966 Live Recordings will be released on November 11th. Dylan has marked the announcement by sharing a version of “Tell Me, Momma”, recorded at Royal Albert Hall, via Rolling Stone. Listen in below.

Other recordings in the set have been compiled from soundboards, CBS Records mobile recordings, and audience tapes. “While doing the archival research for The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12, last year’s box set of Dylan’s mid-60s studio sessions, we were continually struck by how great his 1966 live recordings really are,” said Legacy Recordings president Adam Block in a press release. “The intensity of Bob’s live performances and his fantastic delivery of these songs in concert add another insightful component in understanding and appreciating the musical revolution Bob Dylan ignited some 50 years ago.” With the exception of a May 17, 1966 concert in Manchester, many of the tracks in the collection have never been released.

Dylan’s first Royal Albert Hall performance on May 26, 1966 will also receive a standalone release called The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert, due out as a double-LP set on November 25th and as a 2-CD collection on December 2nd.
