In addition to broken records, sign requests are a popular part of a Bruce Springsteen concert. Audience members write out the song of their dreams on a poster and the Boss goes down and grabs a few to play. At his recent stop in Pittsburgh, however, one fan took a different approach. The concertgoer made his request on a copy of the United Sates Constitution, but it wasn’t just any pocket version.

“Somebody gave me a copy of the Constitution. Well, it does say ‘Fuck Trump’ on the front of it,” Springsteen said to uproarious applause. “And this was his request.”

Appropriately, the request was for “Long Walk Home”, a song about a changing country in dark political times off 2007’s Magic. Even though he admitted he hadn’t played to song in some time, the Boss was game. Check out video of the request and performance via a fan’s Periscope below (h/t Billboard).

In other Bruce news, the rocker has announced book tour dates surrounding the release of his memoir, Born to Run. The book is out September 27th, the same day Springsteen will appear at the Barnes & Noble in Freehold, New Jersey. There are eight other stops from then until October 10th, with entry to all the events coming with a pre-signed copy of the autobiography. The dates are listed below, and more info on how to gain entrance to the individual events can be found at Springsteen’s website.
