Two of rock’s preeminent frontman joined forces today for a surprise set at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City. Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Coldplay’s Chris Martin shared the stage for a brief three-song set that included Pearl Jam’s “Nothingman”, Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over”, and Patti Smith’s “People Have The Power”.
Vedder also performed Global Citizen Festival in 2015 alongside the rest of his Pearl Jam brethren. During that set, he teamed up with Beyoncé for a cover of “Redemption Song”.
