Eminem and frequent collaborator Skylar Grey have reunited for a new song. Entitled “Kill for You”, it’s a foreboding, love-focused number in which the veteran rapper and Midwest pop singer declare their unwavering devotion to one another like a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde couple.
“I’ll carry out his evil plans if he wants me to,” Grey confesses without hesitation. For his part, Em boasts like the stealthy ringleader that he is: “I’m your alternate escape route, the altar you pray to.” Later, he bares his teeth to speak on behalf of their vicious type of love, rapping, “We attack like animals/ When they threaten what we have, it’s a natural reaction.”
The latest single is not quite as catchy as the pair’s previous smash hit, 2010’s “Love the Way You Lie”, which featured a co-writing credit from Grey, but there’s some decent potential for radio play. Check it out for yourself above.
“Kill for You” is taken from Grey’s new album, Natural Causes, which lands in stores this Friday, September 23rd.
