M.I.A. performs “Borders” on French TV — watch

Today, M.I.A. took to France’s nightly news show Le Grand Journal for her first TV performance behind new album AIM. The British-Sri Lankan rapper delivered one of the LP’s earliest singles, “Borders”, while standing in front of two distraught couples that were separated by jail-like bars. (She’d put out a casting call for “hot couples” on Twitter on Wednesday).

Elsewhere in the episode, she sat down for a short interview (in French) in which she confirmed that AIM would be her final full-length.
