    National Geographic today premiered Before the Flood, the new climate change documentary from Leonardo DiCaprio. Directed by Fisher Stevens, the film was shot over the course of three years and sees DiCaprio traveling the world to speak with political figures, scientists, and people directly affected by the phenomenon of global warming.

    Simultaneous to its television debut, NatGeo made the documentary available to watch for free online. Check it out above, and read the official synopsis below.

    Before the Flood, directed by Fisher Stevens, captures a three-year personal journey alongside Academy Award-winning actor and U.N. Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio as he interviews individuals from every facet of society in both developing and developed nations who provide unique, impassioned and pragmatic views on what must be done today and in the future to prevent catastrophic disruption of life on our planet.”

    The score for the film was written by a dream team consisting of Trent ReznorAtticus RossGustavo Santaolalla, and post-rock veterans Mogwai. The group’s soundtrack premiered on Apple Music last week, and you can listen to it here.
