Puscifer has always been the place where Maynard James Keenan can get a little loose. And he used that freedom to the fullest extent of his abilities in the band’s new animated music video for “The Arsonist”, a video that never stops upping the ante on weird.
This video starts with a UFC fight between Ronda Rousey and Puscifer/Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan in which Keenan has agreed to a sex change should he lose. And only gets weirder from there.
After some self-deprecating training montages and a serious beatdown delivered by Rousey, the arena is attacked by a Godzilla-esque Donald Trump kaiju monster (?) who spits out fully formed border walls instead of radiation (??) and ends up fighting a strike force of UFC’s top women fighters (???!!). It’s an absolutely wild ride from start to finish, with Trumpzilla eventually facing down a wave of Americans who’ve formed up World War Z-style to pop him in the mouth. It’s a metaphor, you see.
