    Chicago’s renaissance shows no signs of slowing down, and that’s largely due to the Second City’s music community. Even as a guy like Chance the Rapper is putting out world-changing music and seeing his star rise, he’s helping other young bloods get their name out there. Saba has been collaborating with Lil Chano since Acid Rain, and has recently been making a push in his own right. If you haven’t heard of Saba yet, then it’s time to get acquainted.

    As far as primers go, you could do a lot worse than the Chi-Town rapper’s latest track, “Church/Liquor Store”. Along with Noname, Saba rattles off the landmarks of his neighborhood at clip that sounds like he’s driving through and pointing them out. Think of him as your own personal audio tour guide. However, he’s not masking over the darker corners of his city, as there’s a bit of bleakness over the warm track. Check it out below.
