The last we heard from The Orwells, they were wrestling with sound technicians and ripping apart venues. But between brawls and raucous concerts, the band has indeed been working on a follow-up to their 2014 sophomore breakout, DisgracelandThey’ve teased the new material at a few small Chicago shows over the summer, and have now shared a piece with the rest of the world in the form of fresh track “Buddy”.

As we’ve come to expect from the Illionois punks, the song is a quick jab of punchy garage rock that pays tribute to the band’s hard partying lifestyle. In fact, the lyrics seem to be about frontman Mario Cuomo’s conquests while on the road. “And what’s to make you stay?” he asks . “A pocket full of rubber/ And my hand on your face.” Take a listen above.

For more of that new Orwells jam, you can catch the band on their newly announced string of intimate tour dates. Dubbed the Underplay Tour, the November trek will see them perform in considerably smaller venues than normal along the US coasts and on two UK stops. Find the complete schedule for what is sure to be a rowdy bunch of shows ahead.
