The xx announce first tour dates in three years

London outfit will be previewing new material from their upcoming third album

Following a three-year hiatus from the stage, The xx recently confirmed appearances at Lollapalooza’s South American festivals in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil scheduled for next spring. Prior to that, the London trio will embark on a small European and Japanese tour to close out 2016.

Kicking off on November 28th, the dates find the band playing “in places we don’t get to go to so often,” including Croatia, Poland, and the Czech Republic. There’s also a December date in Tokyo.

According to a band newsletter announcing the tour, The xx will be “testing out some of our new songs.” They’ve been working on their follow-up to 2012’s Coexist for nearly a year, and these shows will be the first opportunity to hear the new material.
