Multi-instrumentalist Jay Watson has been a member of both Tame Impala and Pond for as long as either band has been around. Yet somehow between those two bands’ cumulative 11 releases over the last eight years, he’s still found a way to keep an active solo project going with GUM. Today, he’s announced his third full-length under the name, Flash in the Pan, due out next week on November 11th via Spinning Top.

The follow-up to last year’s Glamorous Damage is being preview with the lead single, “Gemini”. The track is firmly in the psych wheelhouse of both his mainstay acts, but there’s a trippy rhythmic undercurrent that makes it distinctly GUMmy. Take a listen above.

“‘Gemini’ is the first song I recorded for the album,” Watson said of the track, “and probably the most immediate. I’m not really a fan of star signs. It’s kind of a song about people pinning stuff happening in their lives on things like star signs and religion. I am a Gemini though, so there’s the bipolar/duality thing in there is as well.”

Below, find the Flash in the Pan tracklist and album art. There’s also a teaser for the LP featuring the beloved Sexy Sax Man himself, Sergio Flores.
