J Mascis is an aficionado at rockin’, skateboarding, and apparently, slinging some darn good jokes, as his random guest appearance on Comedy Central’s @midnight last night proved. Though known for his introverted, shy demeanor, the Dinosaur Jr. frontman not only held his own against professional funny dudes Dave Hill and Steve Agee, but won the program’s game show portion thanks to clever quips on Donald Trump, Amazon and more.
In one round which challenged players to #AddASongRuinAMovie, Mascis offered up #MrsDoubtfirestarter as a hilarious answer; later, when asked for tips on how to deal with climate change, the alt-rocker suggested people “get used to the taste of your own urine.” Touché.
