A number of New Pornographers members have issued solo albums since the band’s last record, 2014’s Brill Bruisers. Kathryn Calder put out a self-titled release last year, and Neko Case linked up with k.d. lang and Laura Veirs for a collaborative project this past June. Now, guitarist Todd Fancey is prepping an LP of his own: It’s titled Love Mirage and due out January 27th under his Fancey moniker.

In the works for over a year, Love Mirage serves as his third full-length and first since 2007’s Schmancey. It collects 10 tracks, including the newly released “Baby Sunshine”, a warm track that sounds like it’s straight out of a ’70s sitcom. Fun fact: The song immediately made me think of the Mary Tyler Moore show, and upon looking it up on Wikipedia (as journalists do), I noticed the program’s opening credits serve as the inspiration for Fancey’s own album artwork (seen above). Neato!
