Avengers: Infinity War is already set to have one of the largest ensemble casts ever assembled. Literally almost every character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to be in it, from the Avengers themselves to the Guardians of the Galaxy to Doctor Stranger’s buddy Wong. Now word has come that the cast is getting even bigger, as Golden Globe- and Emmy Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage is being eyed for a key role.
Variety reports that the Game of Thrones star is in talks for a major yet undisclosed role. Infinity War is expected to film back-to-back with its currently untitled sequel, with Dinklage said to have a role in both films. If he does end up in the movie(s), he’ll enter the ranks of actors who’ve appeared in multiple comic book franchises, having previously played Boliver Trask in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Marvel themselves had no comment on the possible casting.
Spearheaded by the successful Captain America: Civil War team of screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War will see all the heroes of the MCU teaming up to face the mega-villain that’s been lurking behind the scenes the whole time, Thanos (played by Josh Brolin). Filming is expected to begin this summer to meet its planned May 4th, 2018 release.
