Seattle indie rockers Dude York are releasing a new album called Sincerely next month. Due out through Hardly Art, the same label that gave us Chastity Belt and La Luz, the 13-track effort was produced by two fellow Washington natives, longtime Sleater-Kinney affiliate John Goodmanson and JR Slayer, aka Cody Votolato of The Blood Brothers.

As a press release notes, Sincerely is about losing and then regaining one’s inner perspective on life, and today, the three-piece has shared a song that embodies this theme as well as all the messy emotions and mood swings that it entails. Titled “Tonight”, it finds bassist/vocalist Claire England coming to terms with the end of a relationship and effectively forgoing any two-week notice. “Clearly, we’re too different/ I guess that means it’s the end,” she admits, following a savage breakdown of guitars, “Let’s wrap this up, there’s somewhere else I’ve got to be tonight.”
