Nine Inch Nails’ figurehead Trent Reznor and collaborator Atticus Ross composed the soundtrack to Patriots Day, Peter Berg’s new film about the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing starring Mark Wahlberg, J.K. Simmons, and John Goodman. It’s now available to stream on all the usual platforms; subscribers of Apple Music and Spotify can listen below.
Patriots Day marks Reznor and Ross’ fourth film score following 2010’s The Social Network, which earned them an Oscar for Best Original Score; 2011’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which earned a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack; 2014’s Gone Girl; and 2016’s Before the Flood. Yesterday, they were announced as the composers for Ken Burns’ new documentary, The Vietnam War, due out later this year.
