The initial lineup for the 2020 edition of the UK’s massive Download Festival has been revealed, and it features a who’s who of big-name hard rock and metal bands. KISS, Iron Maiden, System of a Down, Deftones, Korn, and Disturbed are among the acts playing the three-day music extravaganza.
Next year’s Download Festival will take place June 12th-14th at its usual location of Donington Park in Leicestershire, England. In addition to the aforementioned bands, The Offspring, Gojira, Alestorm, Black Veil Brides, Daughtry, and Of Mice & Men, are among the first artists announced, with many more to be revealed.
KISS’ headlining set is being billed as their last ever show in the UK, as the band is currently in the midst of its “End of the Road” farewell tour.

“I’ve said it before, Download Festival audiences are the best,” remarked KISS singer-bassist Gene Simmons. “They are up for whatever is thrown at them. KISS is going to come fully prepared to rock their world in 2020 to say, ‘Thank You for always showing up for us’.”
Iron Maiden, meanwhile, are becoming regulars at the venue. “This will be our seventh time headlining at Donington Park,” said singer Bruce Dickinson. “It’s home turf and we all really enjoy playing this festival — the vibe from the crowd is always fantastic.”
