Jonny Greenwood debuts new piece Horror vacui for BBC Proms: Stream

    On Tuesday night, Radiohead guitarist and composer Jonny Greenwood presented a new piece of music called Horror vacui. The hour-long orchestral performance took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of BBC’s Proms series. The piece “simulates electronic sound using 68 string instruments played acoustically.”

    Update: Greenwood has launched his own record label, Octatonic, dedicated to contemporary classical music releases.

    In related news, Greenwood’s bandmate Thom Yorke appeared on Shaun Keaveny’s BBC 6 Radio program on Wednesday.
