Father John Misty Shares New Single “Q4”: Stream

The latest offering from J. Tillman's upcoming album, Chloë and the Next 20th Century

    Ahead of his upcoming fifth studio album, Father John Misty has shared his new single, “Q4.” Check out the song’s accompanying video, directed by Grant James, below.

    “Q4” follows last month’s “Funny Girl.” Both tracks preview J. Tillman’s upcoming album Chloë and the Next 20th Century, which features strings, brass, and woodwinds performed by the likes of Dan Higgins and Wayne Bergeron, with arrangements by Drew Erickson. The LP is due out April 8th via Sub Pop and Bella Union. Pre-orders are available now.

    To support the LP, Father John Misty and his band have scheduled two symphony performances. One will take place on February 25th at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles with the LA Philharmonic and the other on April 7th at London’s Barbican Hall with The Britten Sinfonia conducted by Jules Buckley.

    Additionally, he’ll play a pair of intimate performances at Rockefeller Center’s Rainbow Room in New York City on April 14th. Entry to the shows is free with the pre-purchase of a signed LP edition of Chloë and The Next 20th Century, available for $32.98, on a first-come-first served basis from the online store here.

    Father John Misty’s last studio effort was 2018’s God’s Favorite CustomerSince then, he’s released the live album Off-Key in Hamburg and the EP Anthem +3.
