Over two years since she last took the stage, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is ready to start the show again with Season 4. The hit comedy series makes its highly anticipated return to Amazon Prime Video with a two-episode premiere on February 18th, and the streaming service has today shared a new trailer.
Picking up where Season 3 left off, Midge Maisel (the incomparable Rachel Brosnahan) is having trouble booking gigs in the wake of her losing slot on Shy Baldwin’s tour. Making things even harder on her manager, Susie (Alex Borstein), Midge is more determined than ever to remain true to her self — no matter how blue she has to get.
“I know, shit happens. You should be a bigger man and let it go,” she says during a comeback gig. “Well, I’m a woman, so fuck that.” Mic drop (literally).
Amazon’s official synopsis reads, “Looking to hone her act, Midge finds a gig with total creative freedom. But her commitment to her craft — and the places it takes her — creates a rift between her and the family and friends around her.”
The new season will welcome two alums from creator Amy Sherman-Palladino’s other acclaimed series, Gilmore Girls, in the form of Kelly Bishop and Milo Ventimiglia. Returning stars include Marin Hinkle (Rose), Michael Zegen (Joel), Tony Shalhoub(Abe), Stephanie Hsu (Mei Lin), and even Jason Alexander as Abe’s playwright pal, Asher.
