Mr. Big have announced the next two legs of their farewell tour. “The Big Finish” world tour will hit the States in the winter of 2024, followed by a spring UK/European run.
The veteran rock act recently wrapped up the first leg in Japan and Southeast Asia. The US outing will kick off January 12th in Houston and run through a February 24th gig in Oklahoma City. The UK/European jaunt will launch March 17th in Koln, Germany, and wrap up April 15th in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. Ticket for those shows are available here.
The band is playing its platinum-certified 1991 album Lean Into It in its entirety at each show, along with favorites from other albums. Following the passing of original drummer Pat Torpey, founding members Eric Martin (lead vocals), Paul Gilbert (guitar and vocals), and Billy Sheehan (bass and vocals) recruited Nick D’Virgilio to man the drum kit.
“We found a wonderful drummer in Nick, and he’s got a great voice too,” stated Sheehan. “Nick has a vocal range similar to Pat’s, and he’ll be able to do the parts Pat did with a similar finesse. It’s a big relief because Mr. Big has always been heavy on the harmonies.”
