In this exclusive Q&A, Rock it Out! Blog host Sami Jarroush chats with Scott Crawford, the director of the new hardcore music documentary Salad Days, which is available on Hulu, iTunes, and is available for purchase on DVD.

Crawford discusses the amount of research that went into the film, which documents the hardcore music scene in Washington, D.C. from 1980 to 1990. He also talks about his days of going to shows and experiencing the scene first hand, how he got Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl to appear in the film, and why the D.C. scene stood out among other hardcore scenes in the US.
