One of the most anticipated superhero films of all time hits theaters next week with the arrival of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A film of such stature deserves equally massive soundtrack, and that’s certainly the case for this epic as Hans Zimmer and Tom Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL, teamed up to score BvS.
In anticipation of the film’s release, we spoke with both Zimmer and Junkie XL about the film’s score. Among the topics covered: why Zimmer felt it was necessary for Junkie to pen Batman’s theme; creating a musical motif for Wonder Woman; and if they plan to creating music for future DC cinematic universe films.
