Following the release of their debut album Homework, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, aka Daft Punk, set out to revolutionize the world of dance music (once again) by paying homage to the music they grew up on. With a new focus on the rock and disco of their childhood, Daft Punk embarked on a two-year process that resulted in their 2001 masterpiece, Discovery.
