Calling all film lovers and music buffs! Welcome to another edition of Music at the Movies. We’re coming to you from our brand new home at the historic Music Box Theatre in Chicago, where you can catch some of the best independent, foreign, and classic films all year round.
This week, Kevin Hart and Ice Cube return to the silver screen with Ride Along 2. While the buddy-cop film leaves much to be desired, it still inspired our host, Blake Goble, to revisit other movies featuring rappers in the lead role. From Will Smith’s portrayal of Muhammad Ali to Mark Wahlberg’s role in The Departed, Blake counts down the five best film performances by an MC.
